Women's Metropolitan Golf Association

The Women’s Metropolitan Golf Association is the second oldest women’s golf association in the United States. The Association has a membership of 202 clubs and over 2,500 individual members.



Metropolitan Golf Association

Golfers can obtain a Handicap Index by joining an MGA member club. The MGA is comprised of clubs throughout the tri-state area, and golfers who join an MGA member private club are automatically members of the MGA.

Trenton District Golf Association

The Purpose of the T.D.G.A. is to promote inter-club amateur golf competition for male golfers, regardless of playing skill, who are full golfing members of an affiliate golf or country club.

 

New Jersey PGA

The New Jersey PGA Championship is a golf tournament that is the section championship of the New Jersey section of the PGA of America. It has been played annually since 1928 at a variety of courses around the state. The format from 1932 to 1934 and 1954 to 1957 was match play. Since 1958, the format has been stroke play. It was considered a PGA Tour event in the 1920s and 1930s.

 

United States Golf Association

The USGA conducts the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Senior Open, as well as 10 national amateur championships, two state team championships and international matches. Together with The R&A, the USGA governs the game worldwide, jointly administering the Rules of Golf, Rules of Amateur Status, equipment standards, and World Amateur Golf Rankings.
